Japanese Dogwood

This Japanese Dogwood stands in our front yard.
After blooming in spring, it produces lots of 'fruits'. We learned that the fruits from this species of Dogwood not only are edible but they have some healing effect.
We eat them from the tree or do a kind of jam out of them.

This photograph was taken in the early morning hours at the Witsand Nature Resort in South Africa. I was out in the dunes before sunrise and pure magic evolved when the sun hit the dunes.
