After the storm
After a strong, late afternoon gully washer, the sky over my neighbor's house was spectacular. I captured the sense of it in this HDR photo.

At the time I took this picture, outside of Louisbourg, Nova Scotia, these big storm clouds moved in.

I have a cottage in the Kawarthas and I drive by this farm regularly. It's quite a large farm but on this particular day the sky dominated the scene making the farm look tiny.

Riwaka Wharf Tidal Reflections
It is hard to imagine that this is a reflection of clouds the water is so clear and blue.
Taken on the tide at Riwaka Wharf New Zealand on a sunny summer day.

This is the path we take to go horseback riding. I love the arch because it feels so comforting every time I go through it. The snow adds such a beauty to the path.

The wild sky was unexpected. That's a fog bank to the south.

We were at the Fish River Canyon in Namibia, and I noticed this cloud building before an immense cloudburst. Luckily the tent remained dry!

MAN IN THE CLOUDS
WE ALL HAVE HEARD OF THE MAN IN THE MOON, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE MAN IN THE CLOUDS? ONE LATE AFTERNOON I SPOTTED THIS CLOUD CONFIGURATION AND I COULD NOT LET IT GO. CAN YOU SEE IT?
THANK YOU FOR LOOKING AND WISH YOU ALL A HEALTHY NEW YEAR!

Head In The Clouds
Christmas; 800 ft above the Annapolis Valley in Nova Scotia.
Fog (clouds) rolling in from the warm Bay of Fundy waters over the North Mountain as my son is lost in his own new camera hardware ... preparing to capture the shrouded images from the LookOff of the farmland below... oblivious to the metaphor I see surronding him.
A great memory in challenging (photographic) conditions.

Early October in Algonquin Park and the sun was trying to burst through at sunrise.
There's a kind of "angry swirl" of clouds over the Lake of Two Rivers that makes for a dramatic sky.

Late Afternoon at the Farm
It was one of those moments one never forgets. I was travelling with some friends to take pictures of this particular farmhouse on Chemong Road just south of Bridgenorth, Ontario when the late afternoon light and the clouds just came together for a short time to make this photograph.

Out with my compact digital camera experimenting with low light photography, I spotted the cross on top of an old church silhouetted against incoming bad weather. I liked the way the clouds formed a pathway across the sky.
